June 28, 2010

This morning everyone was gone and everything was quiet. Paul spent a while in the pool and since it was so hot I actually got in as well.
After a delicious lunch, of our favorite tuna sandwiches on fresh bread, we had a long siesta and then headed to the beach! We went to one we hadn't been to yet on this trip and a little further away.
The sand was scorching hot and Paul ran right to the water. He relaxed a lot by the shore and I sat and read my book, which I haven't been able to put down.
I noticed Paul swimming out a little to hang around some people... but he quickly came back to shore. The second time he swam out he didn't come back so easy. I sat and watched him... thinking he would turn around any minute... but nope. He just kept swimming out more and more. When he was out about 100 feet I got up and went over to Leila and said "Well I guess I have to swim after him, huh?" She laughed.. then looked out... and said "Oh shit... is that him??" So for Leila's piece of mind I got in waste deep... and yelled one loud PAUL! I did NOT want to have to swim after him. Luckily.. he heard me... stopped and looked around, and swam back. He's an excellent swimmer but has a bad sense of depth... I don't think he realized how far he was swimming... he was just enjoying his swim!

But after that he was pretty much done with the beach and ready to go home. We found a small boogie board and Leila got it for him so he can enjoy something while swimming since he keeps trying to steal all the other kid's boards and tubes.

On the way home we stopped in Begur and Leila and I did some shopping... we bought these popular gypsy pants which remind me of MC Hammer pants without the shine. Paul was VERY good while we shopped around until he wouldnt stop hugging me. I thought awww this is so cute.. but in reality he just wanted me to get out of the store. He knew I couldn't do any shopping with him attached to my hip so he took advantage and clung to me until I left.

We had a quick dinner and drove back to Barcelona with a very happy, and sleepy, Paul.
